I was born in South Africa, grew up in the UK, and went to MIT.
In 2009 I left MIT to work with Patrick and John Collison in Palo Alto. We built the first version of Stripe.
Palo Alto to Vancouver, 2009.
701 Webster Street.
After Stripe I returned to mathematics.
I spent a decade at MIT and the Perimeter Institute studying arithmetic geometry, factorization algebras, and the geometry of quantum field theory. The common thread is composition: how local data becomes global structure.
Today I build Mass and Momentum.
Mass is jurisdictional infrastructure for entities, ownership, identity, consent, compliance, and finance. Momentum backs and builds around it.
